General Information

Having trouble balancing your career with getting your kids to and from school? Then why not use our before and after school hours care program.

The Rye Primary School Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) service provides quality child care in a fun, relaxed and safe environment.  We offer a range of supervised, age appropriate activities that encourage your children to interact with friends and peers. Some of the activities available are art & craft, sport, drama, music, dance and computers. Children can mix in either small or large groups, they can choose to have quiet time or finish homework.

Children with Special Needs or Additional Needs can be catered for. The OSHC program takes place in the school hall and stage with access to the entire school grounds including three outdoor playgrounds, two basketball courts and a football oval. The Rye PS OSHC was established in 1995, with the Vacation Care Program beginning in 2003. It operates on a 'not for profit' basis, with the Rye Primary School Council as the sponsor of the service, however the Management of the service lies with the OSHC Committee of Management. A Coordinator is employed to operate the two programs on a day-to-day basis.

The OSHC Service provides the following components of care:

6.45-8.45am (includes breakfast)

After School Care
